About me? Well, let's go with the short version ....

I'm a music lover at heart. Growing up in California as the daughter of immigrant parents, music became my teacher. Some of my earliest memories involve digging through yard sales for cassette tapes and playing them on repeat in my bedroom. I learned English from Madonna's 'Like a Virgin' while pledging my undying loyalty to Selena Quintanilla.

If you ever  hopped in the car with me, you'd find out I"m all over the place. We'd  be listening to Etta James a little bit of country, 'some 90s R&B, maybe some Pepe Aguilar on a gloomy day. Oh, and I'm a millenial so of course I'm mixing in some TLC, Ashanti, and Sweet Lady by Tyrese ;) .....

That's the magic of music—we get to choose our own adventure. What I fell in love with early on was simple: no two artists are the same and that's exactly what drives Will Call — I want to capture everyone's unique sound and story.

From 2010 to 2015,  I worked as a news reporter, finally leaving to puruse marketing ful time transitioned full time to marketing, I left the newsroom, but the storytelling came with me. 

 

 I worked as the Marketing Director for a large arena built in SW KS  (my favorite job ever!)  but I had to get the heck outta' Dodge. Literarily, the arena is located in Dodge City, Kansas and I had my eyes on Kansas City!  My family and I moved out to KC late 2019; After Covid, I started at Barkley Ad Agency, and went on to pursue other marketing roles but they all fell short. Great roles! but  they truly didn't have the best of ME -- I knew my heart was longing for something else.  Well, with my husband being so plugged in to the KC music scene and I kept hearing, I can't do marketing, It's too expensive.  Aaaaaand, Lightbulb moment!  This is my way of merging my two loves together, markting and music. Hope you'll join me along for the ride!
